Nitori Ife began with two cousins who refused to accept that a lack of menstrual care should be normal.
“Nitori Ife,” meaning “Because of Love” in Yoruba, was born not only from love, but from lived experience. We believe that every girl deserves the dignity, confidence, and opportunity to thrive, regardless of her circumstances.
As educators, advocates, and daughters of Nigeria, we believe that no girl should have to choose between attending school and managing her period. Yet for many girls, access to quality menstrual products remains a barrier to their education and well-being.
What started as a simple conversation between Tolu and Ife has grown into a shared mission: to ensure that girls have reliable access to menstrual care products and the support they need to succeed.
We are beginning in Nigeria specifically in Northern Nigeria by partnering with schools, NGOs, companies, volunteers, and local communities to establish sustainable menstrual health initiatives, including school-based Period Banks. Our vision is to start with one school, learn from that experience, and expand our impact one community at a time.
Every donation, partnership, and act of support brings us one step closer to a future where no girl misses opportunities simply because she has her period.
Because every girl deserves care.
